Sheriff Joe Says “I Don’t Take Orders From The Government”
October 17, 2009
Sheriff Joe Arpaio is just doing his job.
And he has been doing it very well.
So well in fact that the feds told him to knock it off.
PHOENIX — An Arizona sheriff known for cracking down on people who are in the country illegally launched a crime and immigration sweep in northwestern metro Phoenix on Friday, a half day after officials in Washington limited his powers to make federal immigration arrests.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, whose sweeps have led to allegations of racial profiling, said the rebuff from Washington won’t stop him. He said he can still arrest immigrants under a state smuggling law and a federal law that gives all local police agencies more limited power to detain suspected illegal immigrants.
“It doesn’t bother me, because we are going to do the same thing,” said Arpaio, whose deputies had arrested 16 people by Friday evening on unspecified charges. “I am the elected sheriff. I don’t take orders from the federal government.”
The officers were participating in a federal program that grants a limited number of local police departments special powers to make immigration arrests and speed up deportation. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement stripped Arpaio of his power to let 100 deputies make federal immigration arrests, but renewed another agreement that allows 60 jails officers to determine the immigration status of people in jail.
The sheriff’s sweeps in some heavily Latino areas of metro Phoenix have drawn criticism that Arpaio’s deputies racially profile people. Arpaio said people pulled over in the sweeps were approached because deputies…Read the rest of this entry
The Nobel Prize Committee Could Be Racists
October 12, 2009
What the heck were the nitwits in Norway thinking?
Don’t they realize how much they have disrespected the President Of The United States?
There has been a worldwide backlash against this, and it is the Committee’s own fault.
They pulled a massive blunder, and they gave Obama the wrong prize!
Was there an element of racism involved here?
After all, millions of Americans have been labeled as racists simply because they disagree with the President’s policies.
And they tend to ignore, or take him to task, for his accomplishments.
So what does the Nobel Prize Committee do?
They do pretty much the same thing, ignoring his accomplishments, yet they give Obama an award!
But they didn’t give him the right award.
They gave President Barack Obama the Nobel Peace Prize.
When by all rights he should have been awarded the Nobel Prize for Economics.
Let’s take a look at what Obama has done to earn the award he was given.
He has talked about how he will reach out to America’s enemies.
He has talked about how Iran must halt it’s nuclear program.
He has talked about the U.S. role in Afghanistan.
He has talked about getting tough with North Korea over their missile program.
He has talked about a ban on nuclear weapons.
Yes, the President has talked about a lot of things.
He hasn’t gotten any of them done, but that’s another story.
However, when it comes to economics, he has accomplished quite a bit.
A 787 billion dollar “stimulus” package.
(Just because it has failed to stimulate the economy, well, only you Tea Party people would hold that against him.)
He hasn’t called for the resignation of the man in charge of America’s income tax code, Charles Rangel.
(By letting a tax cheat keep his job, he is helping to keep the revenue pouring into the IRS.)
He has, for all intents and purposes, taken over control of the American financial system.
(It’s better to have government bureaucrats in charge than to let free market economics decide things.)
He is hard at work, not talking about, but working on, the largest tax increase in world history.
(Cap And Trade may bankrupt many Americans, but bankruptcy is an economic theory, right?)
He siezed control of General Motors and Chrysler.
(And when that didn’t seem to do the trick, he instituted Cash For Clunkers, which was great for the Asian economy.)
He continues to promote his call for health care reform.
(Turning over one-sixth of the U.S. economy to the sort of people that work at the DMV should be prize-worthy.)
So how do the numbskulls from Norway explain this?
They recognize Obama for things that he hasn’t done.
And they totally ignored his accomplishments.
What in the world were they thinking?
Jimmy Carter Speaks On Racism, Revisionism, And Republicans
October 4, 2009
Former President Jimmy Carter recently made the ludicrous claim that opposition to Barack Obama is based upon racism.
A few days ago, he denied making that statement.
On these pages we have disputed his racism claim in terms that even a peanut-head like Mr. Carter should be able to understand.
However, for those of you who may be coming in late, perhaps President Carter is changing his tune because, as we have stated earlier, people don’t oppose President Obama’s policies because he is black, they oppose President Obama because of his policies!
And of course the majority of the voices raisied against the President are those of Republicans.
So what caused Carter to try and take back his racial slurs against Tea Party protestors, people speaking out at town hall health care reform events, etc., and more importantly, does he really think the rest of us are as delusional as he is?
Because that is the only possible explanation as to how he thinks we would forget his words.
Here is his original interview:
“I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he’s African-American.”
That statement seems fairly plain to me.
No taking it “out of context”, no need to put a “right wing” spin on it.
It’s fairly plain that Carter is saying that if you speak out against President Obama, it is because you are a racist, or at the very least that you have tendencies towards racism.
All because the man leading America is a black man.
Now however, Carter is revising his remarks:
So which one is it Jimmy?
Are we racists, or are we just part of a “fringe” element?
You know, Jimmy Carter has always struck me as being so stupid that if it was raining chicken soup, he would run outside holding a fork.
And his latest remarks have only served to confirm that belief.
Someone please take President Carter by the hand and explain to him that Tea Party protestors, town hall attendees, and Republicnas themselves are not racists.
Speaking out against the President is not racism.
It is called democracy.
Then try and make him understand that two million people showing up for a 9-12 event in Washington D.C. is surely not a fringe element.
Point out to him that, if he makes a statement that is recorded, it’s a bit silly to say “I never said that.”
Last of all. find him a comfortable chair, take him out to his peanut patch, and let him go back to visiting whatever world it is that he lives in.
Jimmy Carter, Tea Parties, And Racism
October 3, 2009
The misguided fools who, perhaps out of a sense of desperation, simply won’t stop trying to play the race card, still don’t get it.
Folks who protest the President’s policies at Tea Parties and town hall health care meetings are labeled as racist rednecks who just aren’t comfortable with a black man being President.
Dozens of members of Congress, political pundits, and so-called “journalists” have made the claim that racism is behind any criticism of President Obama.
Former President Jimmy Carter removed any doubts about his being a total buffon when he stated:
“I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man.”
I would have thought that the race card would have played itself out by now, especially after the President himself has stated that he doesn’t feel that criticism directed at him is based upon the color of his skin.
And I give him credit for that.
President Obama knows that his being a black man is not what causes people to disagree with him regardless of what all of these race-baiters claim.
His policies are what cause people to disagree with him.
We don’t disagree with his policies because he is black, we disagree with him because of his policies:
His takeover of the automobile industry.
(After “Cash For Clunkers” ended, car sales returned to the same dismal levels. After it cost taxpayers billions of dollars.)
His relentless push for “health care reform” when virtually every poll shows the majority of American’s opposed to it.
(And his absolute refusal to step back and start over.)
His adding of trillions of dollars to the federal deficit.
(Not only will your grandchildren be paying off this debt, what happens when the Chinese demand their money back?)
His appointment of more “Czars” than there were during the Romanov empire, who are answerable only to him.
(We didn’t oppose his “green jobs” appointee Van Jones because he is black, we opposed him because he was a self-proclaimed communist and a 9-11 conspiracy nut.)
His continued “warnings” to Iran in regards to their nuclear program, while they thumb their noses at him.
(After recently saying that “Iran has been put on notice”, they showed their contempt of his “notice” by test-firing two ballistic missiles.)
His “stimulus” package, which hasn’t done a damn thing to stimulate the economy.
(Don’t believe that? Check the unemployment statistics.)
Those and other policy decisions and proposals are why myself, folks attending a Tea Party, and millions of other Americans are critical of President Obama.
Even a peanut-picking pinhead like Jimmy Carter should be able to understand that.
When Exactly Did I Become A Racist?
September 22, 2009
When he was a candidate for President, Barack Obama promised us Hope And Change.
And in one instance, that promise is coming true.
I have had to change what I had always believed.
And I hope somone can tell me why.
You see, in today’s political landscape, I am seen as a racist.
The President appears on the David Letterman show and downplays talk about racism.
Yet because I don’t agree with the President, I must be a racist.
At least that’s what such members of Congress as Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barbara Boxer tell me.
As well as many members of the media.
Even former President Jimmy Carter has made the allegation.
My dilemma is, I don’t understand how I have gone astray.
I have always (and still do) based my viewpoint about someone based upon their character as an individual.
Not based upon their race, creed or color.
I have always figured that if someone is a good person, then they are a good person.
And if someone is a worthless individual, then they are worthless.
Their religion, country of origin or skin color is not a factor.
Judging someone by their ethnic background, religious beliefs or skin color is not just immoral, it shows a decided lack of intellegence.
Let’s face it, someone has to be really stupid to attach a label to an individual or to a group of people based upon such critera.
And just as asinine is anyone who claims that anyone who disagrees with any of President Obama’s policies is a racist.
Yet that is exactly what is happening in America today, and that is what confuses the hell out of me.
I have been labeled as a racist because i don’t agree with President Obama’s policies.
The claims that I disagree with President Obama because he is black shows just how morally bankrupt certain sections of American society have become.
I don’t disagree with President Obama’s policies because of his skin color, I disagree with President Obama because of his policies.
I would like to issue the following challenge to those race-baiting blowhards who try and use racism as an excuse:
Have Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, hell, even bring Ronald Reagan back to life, and have them espouse the same sort of socialist policies advocated by the President.
Then watch the reaction of myself and millions of other Americans.
Then you better find yourselves a new argument, one based in reality this time.
I’m not going to concede a damn thing, but let’s examine this racism claim a bit further.
You claim that I don’t like/disagree with the President because he is a black ma and I am a white man.
So how do you explain the following (and I’m going to spell things out and go real slow so that you nitwits playing the race card may be able to understand:
Former Attorney General John Ashcroft always reminded me of Joseph Goebbels, and scared the hell out of me.
One of my favorite politicans of all time is JC Watts.
I think Richard Nixon was a devious nutcase.
A few weeks ago, I met with Michael Steele and hope I have the chance to do so again. I don’t impress easily, he impressed me.
I feel that Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews are two of the stupidest individuals to have ever drawn a breath.
Had he won the nomination, I would have been proud to have voted for Alan Keyes.
I think that Bill O’Reilly is a phony and a self-promoting blowhard.
I could go on and on with this.
However, for those of you reading this who understood a few paragraphs back where I was going with this, no further explanation is necessary.
And for those of you who have reverted to claims of racism in order to attempt to hide your own ethical shortcomings, no explanation is possible.
MSNBC Host: Word “Socialist” Code For The “N-Word”
August 13, 2009
This is stretching things far beyond rational thought, even for the far-left crowd at MSNBC.
In the video below, Carlos Watson tries to make the case that the word “Socialist” is simply a code word for the racial epithet that begins with the letter “N”.
Carlos, let me hit you with a dose of reality.
The reason you hear so many conservatives using the word “Socialist” is because that is exactly what the President’s policies are!
This administration has, for all intents and purposes, nationalized the American auto industry, they are now hoping to do the same thing with health care.
Watch the video:
Sorry pal, but playing the race card only makes you look like a fool.
Somehow you fail to mention that the word “Socialist” has been directed at others besides the President, such as the other members of the administration who support the government taking charge of our medical treatment.
You also state that “words have meaning” (stole that one from Rush Limbaugh, didn’t you), yet I suppose in your reverse-racist world it’s OK for members of Congress such as Nancy Pelosi or Stoney Hoyer to call people that are opposed to this health care “reform” bill such things as Nazis and un-American for making their voices heard.
It’s really sad to see that mainstream “joirnalism” has sunk so low that a commentator has to make false accusations of racism in order to try and prove a point.
