How The Tea Party Nation May Help Re-Elect Harry Reid

February 15, 2010

Reports indicate that the Tea party has met Nevada’s election criteria, and will have a third-party candidate, Jon Asjian, on the ballot for Nevada’s 2010 Senate race.

As of this writing, two Republican candidate will battle it out GOP nomination during the primaries.

Danny Tarkanian, son of famous former UNLV basketball coach is hoping to become the Republican candidate, as is former Nevada GOP state party chair Sue Lowden, and former State Assemblywoman Sharron Angle.

The possible fly in the ointment may be members of the Ron Paul Revolution.

Ron Paul made an excellent showing in Nevada in the 2008 Presidential primary, finishing second to Mitt Romney.

The bad news for the Republicans could be a Lowden primary victory.

If Lowden were to win the Republican primary and face-off against the Senate Majority Leader in November, the state’s Ron Paul supporters, the vast majority of whom hold nothing but contempt for Lowden,  mat show that contempt by voting for Reid, or by not voting at all.

The number of votes this could siphon off from the Republican side as to make the difference for the embattled Harry Reid.

Additional factors sure to play a part are, first and foremost, Reid’s multi-million dollar campaign war chest, and possible  additional third-party or independent candidates throwing their hats into the ring.

With the general disdain that Democratic incumbents are held in nowadays, and that Reid has been trailing in the polls, a short time ago I believed that the chances were 60-40 that Reid would lose his re-election bid.

The way things are shaping up in Nevada, I would now have to put Reid’s chances of winning at better than even.

Sarah Barracuda Steps Into The Ring To Take On Dingy Harry

February 3, 2010

I wonder what “Dingy Harry” has planned for 2011?
Because if the Senate Majority Leader wasn’t already facing an uphill battle, as are most Democrats, for re-election in 2010, now he has the Tea Party Nation and Sarah Palin coming after him.
And she is called Sarah Barracuda for a reason.

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin will headline a “tea party” rally next month in Searchlight, Nev., the home town of embattled Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.), tea party movement organizers said.

Palin, who is delivering the keynote address at the National Tea Party Convention this weekend in Nashville, is stepping up her campaign activities for conservative activist groups this spring. The March 27 Nevada event will kick off the Tea Party Express’s 42-city bus tour, which will end April 15 with what organizers are billing as a major march on Washington. In addition to the Searchlight rally, Palin will headline a tour stop in Boston on April 14, said Mark Williams, chairman of Tea Party Express.

Reid responded to Palin in a statement to The Post: “Make sure you stop by the Nugget for a ten-cent cup of coffee with free refills — and make sure to say ‘Hi’ to Verlie.”

Obama To Deliver The Kiss Of Death

January 25, 2010

Next month, President Obama plans to head to Nevada on behalf of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

By all means, Mr. President, Hop on Air Force One and head west.

It will be taxpayer money well spent.

Seeing as how you did such a fine job on behalf of Martha Coakley.

Democrats, Double Talk And Double Standards

January 13, 2010

For the longest time, liberals in Congress and the mainstream media have been accusing members of the Tea Party movement as being racists.

Now anyone with an IQ number higher than that of the average houseplant knows that such a claim is ludicrous.

Yet Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid makes one of the most racist remarks ever uttered by a public official, and no one in his party or the media seems inclined to hold him to account.

Of course, this sort of hypocrisy comes as no surprise.

In the 2008 Presidential primaries, Joe Biden had this to say about then-Senator Obama:

“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.” ”I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

The first African-American who is articulate and bright and clean…..?

Not only does the African-American community let Biden slide, Obama picks this nitwit to be his Vice-President!

Yet if a conservative such as Sarah Palin had made a similar remark, the news media would still be talking about how she was forced to drop out of the race.

I’ve got a news flash for Nancy Peloisi, Janine Garofolo and the members of the MSM.

If you want to overcome racism, maybe you should start with your fellow Democrats.

The Health Care Bill Is About To Become The Vapor Bill

October 4, 2009

A secret plan to pass health care reform?
The most transparent administration in history would never try and pull a fast one.
Would they?

President Barack Obama’s push for a sweeping health care overhaul edged closer to a major victory in the Senate Finance Committee. Early next week, the Senate Finance Committee will vote on final passage on the “Vapor Bill” being debated and marked up in Committee. The term “Vapor Bill” is used to describe the legislation, because the Senate Finance Committee has been debating the outline of a bill and not actual bill text in Committee. Senator Jim Bunning (R-KY) offered an amendment to allow a reading of the bill for 72 hours before final passage, so that members could read the bill they were voting upon, yet liberals in the committee blocked this amendment. We have mapped out one scenario for Senate consideration before, but we now have more details on the secret plan to pass Obamacare.

The Senate floor debate on health legislation could start as early as next week, but more likely they will consider Obamacare starting on October 13th. The Senate Finance Committee has been held up and will not have a final vote on the Committee bill until next Tuesday…Read the rest of this entry
