Al Gore Banned In Britain

February 26, 2010

England’s UK Independence Party is behind a movement to ban global warming propaganda films like Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” from being shown in public schools.

They are also promising to launch a Royal Commission led by a High Court judge to investigate the causes of climate change.

Recent breaking scandals such as Climategate, where emails  from the University of East Anglia showed that scientists were willing to manipulate the data about global warming, and Glaciergate, which was the name given to the claim (that they later retracted) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that the Himalayan glaciers could melt by 2035, have led many to question if human activity has any effect on climate change.

Still MORE Climate Change Errors

February 14, 2010

In a report published in 2007, the Intergovernmental Panel On Climate Change claimed that 55% of the Netherlands lies below sea level.

And of course the conclusion that these climate change crackpots would lead you to believe is that this is a result of the effects of global warming.

Turns out that only 26% of the country does.

The data used by the IPCC included low-lying areas of the Dutch countryside that are prone to flooding.

If the global warming “scientists” can make such a syupid mistake on measureable data, why should anyone believe any of their claims about the effects of global warming, which are really only theories?

Of course, there are those who claim that in spite of such basic errors, when it comes to climate change, “The science is settled.”

The IPCC holds to their claims despite admitting to faulty data:

“The sea-level statistic was used for background information only, and the updated information remains consistent with the overall conclusions.”

It appears that not only is most of the Netherlands not below sea level, perhaps the threat form rising sea levels is not as dire as the IPCC claims.

Which is sure to be a relief to Dutch folks with beachfront property.

Top Global Warming Warming Scientist Admits Errors

February 14, 2010

The man at the center of the Climategate affair, Professor Phil Jones, says “Oops, my bad!”

Jones may have refused Freedom Of Information Act requests for his data because he lost the paperwork.

Professor Jones also conceded the possibility that the world was warmer in medieval times than now – suggesting global warming may not be a man-made phenomenon.

Medieval times?

Just how much greenhouse gas emissions did those knights in shining armor produce anyway?

Professor Phil “Clinategate” Jones has also admitted that there has been no global warming since 1995.

It seems to me that Professor Jones has also admitted that the alarmists ranting about the effects of global warming still don’t know what the hell they are talking about.

Shining A Different Light On Global Warming

February 11, 2010

A steady drip of errors in the top report on global warming — and the erosion they are causing in public confidence of the science behind it — have some scientists calling for drastic changes in how future United Nations climate reports are done.

A push for reform being published in Thursday’s issue of the prestigious scientific journal Nature comes on top of a growing clamor for the resignation of the chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

The work of the climate change panel, or IPCC, is often portrayed as one massive tome. But it really is four separate reports on different aspects of global warming, written months apart by distinct groups of scientists.

No errors have surfaced in the first and most well-known of the reports, which said the physics of a warming atmosphere and rising seas is man-made and incontrovertible. So far, four mistakes have been discovered in the second report, which attempts to translate what global warming might mean to daily lives around the world.

“A lot of stuff in there was just not very good,” said Kevin Trenberth, head of climate analysis at the National Center for Atmospheric Research and a lead author of the first report. “A chronic problem is that on the whole area of impacts, getting into the realm of social science, it is a softer science. The facts are not as good.”

It’s been a dismal winter for climate scientists after the high point of winning the 2007 Nobel, along with former Vice President Al Gore, for championing efforts to curb global warming and documenting its effects.

–In November, stolen private e-mails from a British university climate center embarrassed a number of scientists for their efforts to stonewall climate skeptics. The researchers were found to have violated Britain’s Freedom of Information laws.

–In December, the much anticipated climate summit of world leaders in Copenhagen failed to produce a meaningful mandatory agreement to curb greenhouse gases.

–Climate legislation in the United States, considered key to any significant progress in slowing global warming, is stalled.

Climate Change Experts Are As Inaccurate As Local Meteorologist

February 9, 2010

The weatherman is at it again.

Big snow on the way.

Last week, some of them were really accurate.

And some of them were dead wrong.

A large portion of the U.S. just experienced a snowstorm of massive proportions.

Is that why it’s now usually called climate change instead of global warming?

Where I live, three local television weatherpersons, both daily newspapers, and the local affiliate of the Weather Channel were predicting snow starting on Friday afternoon and that we would see five to seven inches of snow by Saturday afernoon.

Guess how much time I spent on snow removal that Saturday.

Less than five minutes sweeping a dusting of snow off of my front sidewalk.

That may sound like I got lucky that the storm missed me, until you consider all of the postponements and cancellations of sporting, social and scholastic events, evening college classes canceled, etc.

Consider for a moment how many people had to change or abandon their plans, not to mention the financial ramifications.

Everyone knows that the folks predicting the weather sometimes get it right, and sometimes they get it wrong.
The problems caused failed by the weather prediction for my immediate area is one thing, but what are the ramifications when it happens on a global scale?

And thanks to these environmental jihadists who worship at the altar of Al Gore, nation’s from around the world are spending millions, if not billions, of dollars on climate change summits, attempts to reduce CO2 emissions, and on and on.

Most financial analysts agree that the Cap And Trade bill currently awaiting Congressional approval will inflict a crippling blow on the U.S. economy.

And what is all of this hysteria based upon, besides the manic rantings of Al Gore, a snake oil salesman without any scientific qualifications, who millions of people take as gospel, while overlooking the fact that Gore is making tens of millions of dollars off of his “carbon credits” Ponzi scheme.
idiots guide to global warming

Or another intellectual giant, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who in 2008 predicted that, thanks to global warming, there would be no snow or cold in Washington D.C.

I wonder how many people who were stupid enough to believe RFK are feeling about that opinion piece.
Many of them can’t re-read it because over 100,000 of them are without power thanks to thirty inches of snow.

Maybe we should base our climate change fears on the United Nations panel of climate experts who based their claims on an article from a magazine article and a college student’s term paper.

How much attention should any rational human being pay to the findings of the United Nations Climate Chief, who made the statement that global warming skeptics should rub their faces with asbestos.

How about the “scientist” who considered suicide when his  global warming findings were questioned?

Of course, some folks are rational enough to see the talk of climate change for the scam that it is.

My point  is, when a supposed “expert” can’t even  accurately predict the next day’s weather, why should I believe any of the claims of Al Gore and his carbon credit cronies?

Britain’s Prince Charles Joins Forces With Al Gore To Fight Global Warming

February 6, 2010

England’s Prince Charles.
A jug-eared polo player and full-time buffon who has spent his life living off of the English welfare state, a man so loony that he leaves Princess Diana, one of the most beautiful women ever, to take up with a woman who looks like one of his horses, yet still can’t figure out why
the Queen doesn’t think he has the smarts to take over the British throne..

He has become an ally of global warming guru Al Gore.

A charlatan making millions off of his carbon credits crapola, a Ponzi scheme that rivals the Bernie Madoff scam.
A man without a single scientific credential to his name who flies around the world in a private jet, yet wants the rest of us to reduce our carbon footprint by driving a Prius

Prince Charles dismissed critics of climate change science yesterday.
He said evidence of long-term and potentially-irreversible effects was utterly overwhelming, adding: ‘This isn’t an opinion – it is a fact.’
In a bullish speech, the prince joined the row over whether false claims by some experts compromise the case for global warming.
He said: ‘I have watched with growing dismay and alarm the glee with which the sceptics have leapt upon the recent news stories that question the science that climate change is man-made and suggesting it is nothing more than a myth.
‘Well, if it is but a myth, and the global scientific community is involved in some sort of conspiracy, why is it then that around the globe sea levels are more than six inches higher than they were 100 years ago?

‘It is also a fact that atmospheric carbon dioxide levels are 40 per cent higher now than they were before the industrial revolution.’

Prince Charles made the comments on a visit to Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry where he was launching a campaign to help people lead more environmentally sustainable lives.

He said: ‘To those who seek to persuade us that there is no such thing as climate change, in the face of the now overwhelming peer-reviewed scientific evidence, I would ask just one question  -  are you prepared to take the risk of being wrong?’

Charles said the planet’s poorest would suffer ‘first and worst’ if the problem was not tackled.

Global Warming Seen As National Security Threat

February 4, 2010

That claim is included as part of the Quadrennial Defense Review, a report mandated by Congress that updates Pentagon priorities every four years.

An excerpt of the report is cited on the digital library of the Department of Homeland Security.

Pentagon officials conclude that global warming “will act as an “accelerant of instability and conflict.”

The assessment reached in the report is that climate change will, among other factors, increase global poverty, weaken fragile governments, and affect the military’s operating environment.

Myself, I feel that global warming is as much of a national security threat as the tooth fairy.

And for all of you Al Gore disciples who didn’t grasp that analogy, I say that because neither one of them are real.

No Tree Huggers Were Harmed In The Taking Of This Survey

January 26, 2010

A recent poll shows that global warming ranks dead last as a concern for the majority of Americans.

The economy, deficit spending, the size of the federal deficit and terrorism all ranked higher.

So how will this affect Al Gore?

Where will he find the money for all of the cheeseburgers he is stuffing down his throat?

Well, he can always count on his book sales.

idiots guide to global warming

As Barack Obama begins his second year in office, the public’s priorities for the president and Congress remain much as they were one year ago. Strengthening the nation’s economy and improving the job situation continue to top the list. And, in the wake of the failed Christmas Day terrorist attack on a Detroit-bound airliner, defending the country from future terrorist attacks also remains a top priority.

At the same time, the public has shifted the emphasis it assigns to two major policy issues: dealing with the nation’s energy problem and reducing the budget deficit.
About half (49%) say that dealing with the nation’s energy problem should be a top priority, down from 60% a year ago.
At the same time, there has been a modest rise in the percentage saying that reducing the budget deficit should be a top priority, from 53% to 60%.

Copenhagen Trip Cost U.S. Taxpayers Over One Million Dollars

January 26, 2010

Just one more example of how the Obama administration plans to keep wasteful federal spending under control.
And why in the hell did we need to send 106 people?
And Henry Waxman, at a global warming conference, was complaining that it was cold.

coldnutz

Thanks to recently filed Congressional expense reports there’s new light shed on the Copenhagen Climate Summit in Denmark and how much it cost taxpayers.

CBS News Investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson reports official filings and our own investigation show at least 106 people from the House and Senate attended – spouses, a doctor, a protocol expert and even a photographer.

For 15 Democratic and 6 Republican Congressmen, food and rooms for two nights cost $4,406 tax dollars each. That’s $2,200 a day – more than most Americans spend on their monthly mortgage payment.

CBS News asked members of Congress and staff about whether they’re mindful that it’s public tax dollars they’re spending. Many said they had never even seen the bills or the expense reports.
