DHS Head Invites Terrorists To Meeting
February 19, 2010
Big Sis Janet Napolitano is becoming a threat to national security.
I’m not afraid to make that statement because I figure my name is already on Napolitano’s terrorism watch list as a potential domestic terrorist.
After all, I repeatedly call her judgement into question.
And each time that I think that the head of the Department of Homeland Security can’t possibly present another piece of evidence to prove how woefully incompetent she is for the job, she proves me wrong.
Michelle Malkin recently did a report on Napolitano briefing members of three groups associated with terrorism.
Napolitano and her boss Obama still don’t understand that you can’t sit down and share milk and cookies with groups like the Muslim Brotherhood.
Not when the people you invited to the meetings would like noting better than to give you cookies that explode when you eat them.
Let alone sharing information on counter-terrorism measures with them.
The picture that America needs to be in the minds of terrorists is this:

Instead, when terrorists think of American security measures, they think of this:

The FBI Wants To Monitor Your Internet Usage
February 6, 2010
Anyone who has a problem with some of (or all) of the provisons of the Partiot Act will be up in arms if the government starts tracking what web sites they visit.
The FBI is pressing Internet service providers to record which Web sites customers visit and retain those logs for two years, a requirement that law enforcement believes could help it in investigations of child pornography and other serious crimes.
FBI Director Robert Mueller supports storing Internet users’ “origin and destination information,” a bureau attorney said at a federal task force meeting on Thursday.
As far back as a 2006 speech, Mueller had called for data retention on the part of Internet providers, and emphasized the point two years later when explicitly asking Congress to enact a law making it mandatory. But it had not been clear before that the FBI was asking companies to begin to keep logs of what Web sites are visited, which few if any currently do.
The FBI is not alone in renewing its push for data retention. As CNET reported earlier this week, a survey of state computer crime investigators found them to be nearly unanimous in supporting the idea. Matt Dunn, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in the Department of Homeland Security, also expressed support for the idea during the task force meeting.
Global Warming Seen As National Security Threat
February 4, 2010
That claim is included as part of the Quadrennial Defense Review, a report mandated by Congress that updates Pentagon priorities every four years.
An excerpt of the report is cited on the digital library of the Department of Homeland Security.
Pentagon officials conclude that global warming “will act as an “accelerant of instability and conflict.”
The assessment reached in the report is that climate change will, among other factors, increase global poverty, weaken fragile governments, and affect the military’s operating environment.
Myself, I feel that global warming is as much of a national security threat as the tooth fairy.
And for all of you Al Gore disciples who didn’t grasp that analogy, I say that because neither one of them are real.
Security Will Be High At The 2010 Super Bowl
February 3, 2010
If I were attending Super Bowl XLIV, I’d feel security measures the NFL has taken, in spite of a nerve-racking statement from someone who, thank goodness, has no affiliation with the NFL, yet pretends to know something about security.
I think that NFL vice-president of security Milt Ahlerich, will do a fine job.
Ahlerich had this to say:
“There won’t be any problems,” Ahlerich said. “This security plan is very robust and very well coordinated. We have a lot of confidence in how it is organized and how well it will be executed.”
What scares the hell out of me is this statement:
“We’re looking forward to a great and safe Super Bowl 44.”
“We’re grateful for the remarkable cooperation we’ve seen up and down the line. We’re doing everything we can in preparation to make sure it’s a great event.”
That statement was made by Department of Homeland Security head Janet Napolitano.
The same Janet Napolitano who, when a jihadist set his ass on fire trying to blow up an airplane on Christmas day, said “the system worked.”
Football fans can, however, breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that Napolitano is not in charge of overseeing security measures at the world’s biggest one-day sporting event.
Because if Napolitano paid as much attention to potential security threats as she did to President Obama’s State Of The Union address, this is what we’d see:

The Most Dangerous Woman In America
January 23, 2010
Not only does Janet Napolitano get our vote for the most incompetent member of the Obama administration, she is also the most dangerous woman in America.
What else can be said of the person who heads the Department of Homeland Security, the agency tasked with keeping America safe from further attacks of terrorism, when it’s obvious that she doesn’t have a clue.
In a story you can read here on Newsmax, she re-affirms the administration’s desire to carry through with closing the prison at Guantanamo Bay, even though the deadline proposed by President Obama has passed.
So, her focus is on the closure of Club Gitmo.
How does she treat some other aspects of her position?
Christmas Day underwear bomber?
Well, according to Napolitano, “the system worked.”
Uh, Janet, a civilian passenger on the flight tackling the attempted bomber is not part of the system.
Of course, the flight did originate from overseas, so perhaps she thought she would get a free pass because it wasn’t a domestic flight.
This is the same woman who the only thing domestic that she worries about is her claim that returning war veterans are “potential domestic terrorists.”
We just had a visit from a friend of my daughter’s who recently returned from a tour of duty in Iraq.
This person is as likely to be a terrorism threat as I am to becoming a brain surgeon.
As are any of the members of the military I have known, including the many Iraq and Afghanistan vets I have met during the course of that very same daughter joining the Marine Corps.
She leaves for boot camp in May, and no matter where she is deployed, when she returns home I know that the last thing on earth I or anyone else will have to worry about is her being a threat to national security.
I’d feel a bit safer if Ms. Napolitano would follow the advice I offered her in this article from back in October and concentrate on dealing with the Jihadist traing camps that are right here on American soil.
Or if the DHS would take the time to monitor the activities of groups such as Hizb-Ut-Tahrir, a group many terrorism experts consider to be a bigger threat than al-Qaeda, as we reported here, back in July.
However, these matters don’t seem to be very high on Ms. Napolitano’s priority list.
Closing Club Gitmo, now that’s a job that needs to get done, because her boss made a promise.
Hey Janet, Obama hasn’t kept most of his promises, why worry about one that will wind up transferring terrorism suspects onto U.S. soil?
Napolitano is supposed to keep us safe?
God help us all.
DHS: Department Of Hairbrained Slackers
December 28, 2009
More than once on these pages we have taken Janet Napolitano and her crew at the Department of Homeland Security to task.
This woman, who heads the government agency that is supposed to keep Americans safe here in the U.S. is an absolute disgrace.
From her remarks about returning veterans being “potential domestic terrorists”, to her department’s practically non-existent role in border security, to the continued ignoring of terrorist training camps on American soil, this woman has no idea whatsoever of just what it is her job entails.
The disaster that was averted on Christmas day was not due to the efforts of the DHS, but rather to the actions of an alert passenger, yet in Napolitano’s fantasy world, “the system is working.”
Our friend Michelle Malkin has her own thoughts about Napolitano, as well as a transcript of an interview Janet did with CNN that shows just how inept this woman is, you can read it here.
A DHS Profile Of a Potential Domestic Terrorist
November 11, 2009
Some time ago, Janet Napolitano and her gang at the Department Of Homeland Security labeled returning veterans as “potential domestic terrorists.”
Ms Napolitano, in whatever passes for thinking in the world she lives in, feel that vets are prime targets to be recruited by “right-wing extremist” groups.
I know of someone who fits her criteria exactly.
Small town farm boy who enlists in the military at an early ages, goes off to war, and then returns to America with no job and no discernable skills.
So today, on a day when we pay tribute to the brave nen and women who have fought and died in order to allow Ms Napolitano to make such irrational statements, we thought that we should clear something up for her:
Rather than being a threat to America’s security, those veterans are the only thing that has kept America secure.
Those veterans, such as the man featured in this video, are the only reason you could say something that stupid.
(Oh, and for all of you liberals, as well as those of you who know nothing of American history (or is that the same thing?), the man profiled in the video below was not the fantasy of some Hollywood fathead, this closing clip is from the exploits of an actual patriotic American who became the most-decorated soldier of World War Two.)
Update: Janet Napolitano, Domestic Terrorism And The Oathkeepers.
October 20, 2009
We have been coming down pretty hard on Department Of Homeland Security director Janet Napolitano lately.
And we aren’t done yet.
And neither are our readers.
We just received a comment regarding an article we did about the Oathkeepers:
“I am a veteran. I served 22 years in the US Army, the 1st Ranger Battalion, 10th Mountain Division, and finally 17 years in 5th Special Forces Group (A)! I am disgusted with the latest administration. It hurts me to know that people that I put my life on the line to defend put this knucklehead in charge. CHANGE!!! I support the Oath Keepers decision. I must say that anyone that comes to my home to get my guns had better bring help. Lots of help. I wont have my Constitutional rights violated or disregarded. I heard that the illegal president wanted to put soldiers with my background on a terrorist watch list or some such. Have you heard anything about this? Keep up the good work. It takes us all to make a great nation!”
Sir, let us first say that it is an honor to hear from someone such as yourself who as devoted so many years to serving his country.
However, we are sorry to say that what you had heard regarding Janet Napolitano and veterans is true.

Do The Benefits Of Jihadist Training Camps In America Outweigh The Risks?
October 16, 2009
We just did a story on what we feel is the failure of the Department of Homeland Security to keep America safe.
And it generated comments from two sides of the fence, both whom claim to have experience in undercover intellegence operations.
You can read the original article and the comments here.
Of course, we have no means to verify or disprove undercover ops experience of the commenters.
One individual, going under the pseudonym Cherokee Parks, clearly understood the satirical nature of our implying that Janet Napolitano was getting her information from us.
And the point we were trying to make.
The other didn’t.
Regardless, the other person went on about how we have no idea of what is being done in order to keep America safe.
And stated that our “exaggerated journalism” “reflects poorly on all of us.”
This individual also took the position that these jihadist training camps on American soil are common knowledge.
Let’s tackle that last one first.
After we closed up shop, Salvaterra and I went to one of our favorite spots to get a pizza and a few beers.
We are fairly well-know at this place, and we publicly asked the people there if they had ever heard of terrorist training camps here in America.
Out of roughly 40 people who were in the place, not one of them had ever heard of such a thing.
So much for exaggerated journalism.
Now, as to this person’s other position that everything that can be done is being done, we have one word:
Bull*hit!
Neither of us have any experience in intellegence gathering operations.
What we do have is common sense.
Which leads us to ask, what possible benefit is there to be gained by allowing these camps to exist?
Even if there is a CIA or FBI agent working undercover in one of these terrorist training grounds, what information is this agent likely to learn?
If the head jihadist receives word that another 9-11 style attack is forthcoming, will that person really be stupid enough to share that information with everyone in the camp?
Net gain.
Nothing.
Perhaps this person would learn of an additional training camp opening at another location.
Seeing as how the DHS doesn’t see fit to do anything as to the camps it does know about, what good does this information do?
We need someone to explain to us how in the world allowing these camps to operate right here in America is an effective strategy in keeping us safe.
Because it is our opinion that a group of terrorists who are already in this country, and could decide at any moment to leave the camp in order to kill civilians or to destroy an American city are a threat that needs to be dealt with in no uncertain terms.
James Bond tactics be damned.
And we can’t place all of the blame on Napolitano’s shoulders.
Former DHS directors Tom Ridge and Michael Chertoff are just as guilty for allowing this.
What is different now is, what do you think would would happen if say, members of a gun club or a veterans organization were to open up a similar style training camp?
Janet “you’re all potential domestic terrorists” Napolitano would call out a SWAT team and swarm the place faster than you could blink.
Of course, offending America’s veterans and offending a group of Muslim terrorists are two different things.
Again, we have no background in intellegence operations.
Therefore, we need someone to explain to us how allowing these camps to exist outweighs the dire risk that they pose.
A risk that could become a reality at any time.
The Department Of Homeland Security Finally Catches Up With The Freedom Medium
October 13, 2009
Janet Napolitano and her crew at the Department Of Homeland Security finally found us.
She must have stumbled across us, read some of our commentary, watched the Fox News videos, and started to become aware of what we have been talking about for months.
And we don’t mind her taking credit for our hard work, we just wish she had started paying attention a little sooner.
On October 12th, she made the following statements in an interview with Bloomberg TV:
“It is fair to say there are individuals in the United States who ascribe to al-Qaeda-type beliefs.”
“And so it makes information-sharing, it makes effective law enforcement and it makes the shared responsibility of law enforcement ever so important.”
Ms. Napolitano, we shared the sort of information that you are just now talking about months ago!
Take a look at updates to just two of our reports on this topic:
Back in April, we found that there are at least 35 Jihadist training camps right here in America, primarily on the eastern end of the country.
The Fox News video below outlines the practices of this movement, but our research uncovered more troubling information.
For instance, in just one example of what the government is allowing to take place on our own soil, there is a 50 acre jihadist training compound near the town of Red House in Virginia.
If you are down that way, it’s easy enough to find as there is a street sign pointing out the road to Sheikh Gilani Lane.
Sheikh Gilani is reported to be a close ally of Osama bin Laden.
Mubarak Ali Gilani is on record as having said that he wants to “purify” Islam through violent actions.
We also uncovered the fact that at all of these training camps, there is a sign identifying the groups as “The Muslims of the Americas.”
What you won’t see are any signs explaining that the name these groups use is an offshoot of Jamaat ul-Fuqra, a sister agency of Al-Qaeda.
In another example, there is a terrorist training camp near Hancock, N.Y. that calls itself “Islamberg.”
It is run by Ghulam Mustafa, another individual with close ties to Osama bin Laden.
Mustafa plays an important role in Al-Qaeda’s planning and financing.
If all of this wasn’t disturbing enough, then I came across this story in the New York Post reporting how members of al-Shabab, a radical Islamic group based in Somalia that has ties to both Al Qaeda and Somali pirates, have taken 20 young men from Minnesota to fight in Somalia. You can read the story here.
The facts we uncovered, along with the information in the video, are truly alarming.
Maybe the DHS should hire someone to read reports like ours, and to watch for similar news reports like this one:
Then, in July, we did an article reporting on how nearly 500 members of Hizb-Ut-Tahrir held a convention in a Chicago-area Hilton Hotel.
Although not officially recognized as a terrorist organization by the State Department, many terrorism experts, one example of which is shown in the video appearing a little later in this article, consider them to be more of a threat to America’s security than al-Qaeda.
The man appearing in the video, Walid Phares, explains how Hizb-Ut-Tahrir trains youth between the ages of 9 to 18 in the ideology of “Khilafah”, which is a fundamental belief in the rule of Islamic law no matter what the means that may be taken to achieve it.
A spokesman for the group, Mohammad Malkawi claims that the group condemns terrorism in any form.
That statement would appear to be at odds with actions taken by some of the groups alumni, such as Khalid Skeikh Mohammed, the alleged plotter of the 9-11 attacks, to name just one.
Watch the video:
Malkawi also made the statement that the objective of the group is ”To create an Islamic state of Khilafah in the Muslim World.”
“The Muslim World.”
Last time we checked, Chicago was not the heartland of the Muslim world.
And as we said at the time, none of this will come as a surprise to our regular readers and subscribers.
And if we are paying close attention to these things, then why aren’t the people who are in charge of keeping us safe doing so?
How in the hell could Ms. Napolitano and her crew at the DHS fail to recognize that perhaps a convention of 500 supporters of a radical Islamic ideology, as well as numerous terrorist training camps scattered across America are a serious threat to the safety and security of this country?
“It is fair to say there are individuals in the United States who ascribe to al-Qaeda-type beliefs.”
Good God Almighty Janet, you’re just figuring that out NOW?
Where the hell have you been?
We have nowhere near the access to information that you do.
We have been talking about it for months, you are just coming to realize it now?
Maybe if you were one of our subscribers you wouldn’t be so far behind the curve.
OK Ms. Napolitano, we gave you the information.
Do you also need us to explain to you what your next step is?
As you said Janet, information sharing is important.
So the next time you need to know something, pay us a visit.
We are always glad to help.
And based on your statements, and by allowing these sort of things to take place on American soil, you need all the help you can get.
