MSNBC Host: Word “Socialist” Code For The “N-Word”
August 13, 2009 · carl · Print This Article
This is stretching things far beyond rational thought, even for the far-left crowd at MSNBC.
In the video below, Carlos Watson tries to make the case that the word “Socialist” is simply a code word for the racial epithet that begins with the letter “N”.
Carlos, let me hit you with a dose of reality.
The reason you hear so many conservatives using the word “Socialist” is because that is exactly what the President’s policies are!
This administration has, for all intents and purposes, nationalized the American auto industry, they are now hoping to do the same thing with health care.
Watch the video:
Sorry pal, but playing the race card only makes you look like a fool.
Somehow you fail to mention that the word “Socialist” has been directed at others besides the President, such as the other members of the administration who support the government taking charge of our medical treatment.
You also state that “words have meaning” (stole that one from Rush Limbaugh, didn’t you), yet I suppose in your reverse-racist world it’s OK for members of Congress such as Nancy Pelosi or Stoney Hoyer to call people that are opposed to this health care “reform” bill such things as Nazis and un-American for making their voices heard.
It’s really sad to see that mainstream “joirnalism” has sunk so low that a commentator has to make false accusations of racism in order to try and prove a point.

Not only is Socialist not a racist term, but President, and Many members of Congress fit well within definition one of socialist, if we take the meaning of socialism as definition it is in it’s first definition.
If anything, historical Socialists themselves have been racist, such as the Nazi Party.
I would say that the affirmative action policies that the President and many Congressmen support are racist in their very definition. If you believe that people of a certain race can’t get a job on their own you must think that they are inferior. If you think people a a certain race are inferior, you are a racist.
Conservatives, think every person deserves an equal shot, and no one needs the government to get them a job.
People of the Democratic Party, really think about the words you use, they have meaning. If you call someone a Nazi that’s for equal opportunity for all races and religions, and is against socialism, you just sound uninformed, but you might want to look in the mirror.
Right as usual Lou.
Lou, “Not only is Socialist not a racist term, but President, and Many members of Congress fit well within definition one of socialist, if we take the meaning of socialism as definition it is in it’s first definition.”
“1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.”
Not quite. Our government is not proposing this. Temporarily taking over portions of the means of production (like one of the largest auto manufacturers on the planet) in a time of economic trouble to avert the collapse of a huge part of our society is very different from taking over everything as you suggest.
Were you as outraged about our suspension of Constitutional Rights under Bush as you seem to be about having free markets stepped on now?
I think a socialist is:
1. Wealth redistributed to the so called “benefit of those less fortunate”. In other words taking money from those that earned it and giving it to those who didn’t earn it. An example: Taking our tax money $140,000,000. and giving it to welfare families and those receiving food stamps for “school supplies”. Of course we find out that the school supplies were, cigarettes and big screen TV’s. FREE MONEY from the government wow…..no, from my pocket to yours…..
2. Changing the US Constitution in any way to satisfy the left wing socialist ideology, as an example: Rahm Emanuel moving towards “disarming the public”…..sound familiar? Any socialist state needs to take away the means for the public to defend itself against totalitarian take over. After the fall of the Soviet Union a question was asked, “Did you ever think that you would invade the United States”?….The answer, “No, the Americans are to well armed”. Seems to me that the founders were on course then and on course for what is apparently being planned against the American people now.
3. Their true agenda is masked by the “progressives / liberals / socialists…..as words that sound nonthreatening like, restructuring, or revisiting the issues, or The American people are saying this….. My ears perk up when I hear liberals speaking words like this to advance there ideology. Why is the left afraid to use “plain English” and tell us their true agendas?
4. Health care takeover is the easiest way to put the American people in line under the government….Why? Because all your personal information (your health status) and financial records and bank records, are open books to them without a warrant.
I do blame the American people for not listening to what candidate Obama said during the campaign. They were overwhelmed that a black man could run for President and didn’t listen to what he was saying and who he was surrounding himself with.
Not here, not in the land of the free and the home of the brave….
JFC,
It isn’t only the car companies, also banks, and now health care. All three industries have been regulated to death by Congress. Now, they are the Obama administration has control of 2 of 3 car companies and most of the banks, and I now going after health care.
We need deregulation not more Government interference.
As for the second part, yes there are provisions of the Patriot act that I didn’t like, and I would still have to be removed, but most of the Bush Administration policies in question have to do with non-citizens. I have read the Constitution over and over again and nowhere is there a single phrase giving Constitutional rights to non-citizens. As far as I’m concerned Bush could have tapped every phone in the world that wasn’t on US soil, and detained prisoners of war for as long as there is one.
I also would have liked to see a Constitutional Amendment from Bush and the Republican Congress saying that imminent domain can’t be used to seize property from on party to sell to a third party for development.
But we can’t have every thing.
