Rachel Maddow Destroys Obama On Lying To The American People

The tide, if ever so slightly, may be starting to turn.
The wheels may be coming off of the HOPE AND CHANGE wagon.
If, a few short months ago, you had tried telling me that the day would come when such a dedicated liberal as Rachel Maddow would be pointing out the outright lies and deceptions of Barack Obama, I would have been concerned for your mental health.
I seldom. if ever, find myself in agreement with her positions on a particular issue, but in this cas she is spot-on.
In the video below, she of course starts out by taking her obligitory cheap shots at George Bush and Dick Cheney, but then she has the audacity to question the Gospel according to the Messiah.
Watch the video, then see my analysis as to what I think Obama might really be saying:
“Prolonged Detention.”
“Preventative Incarceration.”
“An abiding confidence in the rule of law.”
“Reshape the standards.”
Once you get past the hypocrisy of President Obama proposing the very thing that he condemned the Bush administration for, you may think that this policy, applied to Islamic terrorists, would be acceptable.
However, keep in mind that the un-Constitutional powers that Obama is seeking, once made law, may not be limited to Islomofascists.
Such laws could be used against “potential domestic terrorists.”
Janet Napolitano has her list ready, and is all set to start checking off names.
I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if my my name and Salvaterra’s are on it.
And as far as Rachel Maddow is concerned, I applaud her for pointing out the hypocrisy of Barack Obama, yet at the same time I am a bit concerned for her.
Because her statement that this is “One of the most radical proposals for defying the Constitution that we have ever heard made to the American people” just may prompt the Department of Homeland Security to add her name to the list.

This is unbelievable! This is the most outragous thing I’ve ever seen. The Supreme Court has got to stop this!

And I wouldn’t hold out a lot of hope for help from the Supreme Court.
That is why folks like us have to continue to do what we do, and ramp up our efforts to bring things like this to the public eye.
I thought Gitmo was supposed to be used to keep such detainees. Other then appeasing his liberal friends, why bother closing gitmo? I guess I answered my own question.
Here is where Rachel goes wrong (and the left for that matter). She doesn’t understand the difference between a POW and a criminal. Two very different sets of laws apply.
Under international law POWs can be held until the end of hostilities. If the war goes on for 20 years they are held for 20 years. No trial, nada. Just wait to the end of the war. Three hots and cot. That’s life (ask our WWI vets who were POWs – they waited out the war).
Oh, spies can get trials then shot during war. International Law is ok with that as well.
How’s the Taliban doing? Is the war over in Afghanistan? Well, then why should we release or try these guys at all? They should be treated as POWs and kept in confinement with no trial.
We are at war and people need to understand the rules of war.

The left is to busy watching “Dancing With the Stars” and Oprah to follow what’s happening NOW! You see folks with Obama Biden Stickers even now, listening to Hip Hop, or talking to friends on cell phones. Starting from Grammar School and graduating from High School, 90% of kids wouldn’t know Obama from Osama. They all have a case of the “gimmies!” Give me this, give me that, make sure it’s free.
