Christopher made a mistake saying there were birth announcements for two different hospitals. I believe he was referring to the fact that Obama himself has acknowledged Kapi’olani Medical Center as being his place of birth when most other reporting said he was born in Queen’s Medical Center. Both medical centers are in Honolulu.

And most people have two birth certificates. There’s the official one issued by the state, or sometimes local government agency. Then there’s a souvenir “birth certificate” that the hospital often gives to the parents. That one’s worthless for most (all?) official purposes.

Agin, the court found a way to NOT deal with the substance of the issue but to use a procedural issue to avoid it.

The Court now has a raised seal birth certificate that says President Obama was born in Kenya. President Obama’s lawyers are now FORCED to respond to it. If they ignore it, they risk that the Court will stipulate that it is genuine. That would be a disaster for President Obama.

The Court very well could ask the President Obama legal team (POLT) to present a certified copy of the Hawaiian long form birth certificate to prove that the Kenyan document is forged. What will POLT do?

From a legal strategy point of view, it’s a good move. It puts the ball in POLT’s court.

And, most probably, an analysis of the paper it’s printed on will show that it was not printed in 1964. It’s a desperation move.

And Obama won’t respond. It would give the birthers legitimacy, at a time when they’re so successful.

At making all of Obama’s opponents look like wackos. Birthers are Obama’s best friends.
