The UN Declares: Do Not Say Anything Critical Of Islam. And Obama Agrees

If this isn’t the damndest thing I have ever come across!!
Although with so-called diplomats and statesmen nowadays having the common sense of the Three Stooges, it really shouldn’t surprise me.
At the end of this article I will place a link to a United Nations resolution entitled “Combating Defamation Of Religions.”
This recommendation was submitted to the UN by the European Centere For Law And Justice, and as is the case with most declarations coming out of Europe, I am totally at a loss as to just what it is that they are advocating.
On the ECLJ website, they appear to be speaking out against the denigration of Christians, while in the resolution they submitted to the UN it seems that they are in support of holding legally accountable anyone who speaks out against a Muslim who is a follower of Islam.
If you care to read the resolution in it’s entirety, as well as peruse the position papers on the ECLJ website, and manage to figure out just what point they are trying to make, please let me know, as it is beyond me.
However, the part of the resolution that I find most disturbing is this:
“Any advocacy of national, racial or religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence shall be prohibited by law.”
My concerns are, just what constitutes a violation of the aforementioned statutes, are there varying degrees of severity, and who determines the appropriate punishment for a breach of the conditions?
Let’s assume for a moment that at least part of the aim of this excerise is against any snide remarks aimed towards Christians.
So, for instance, if I were to declare that it is my belief that the primary focus of the Catholic Church, rather than the saving of souls, is the amount of contributions received from the members of a particular parish, is that statement considered an “incitement to discrimination?”
If I were to say that I could never see myself becoming a Baptist because they are against smoking and the drinking of alcoholic beverages, is that to be considered as hostility towards members of the Baptist faith?
You will take note that I am taking care not to mention Muslims or Islam, as I don’t fully understand just what the hell is the point of this resolution, and the possible ramifications for violating it, I don’t want to chance UN Security Forces battering down my front door.
Hell, I am probably in big trouble for the questions on Catholics and Baptists.
And I am wondering if this politically correct madness is ever going to stop.
With the dimwits at the UN involved, probably not.
And our President, who I am fairly sure has never even heard of, let alone read this UN resolution, seems to be in basic agreement with it tenets, giving his recent Kumbaya speeches on his Mid-East trip.
Which were just the latest performances on his apologize for America tour.
The Obama White House has even banned the use of the term “War On Terrorism.”
Who in the name of all that’s holy are we so worried about offending?
Islamic terrorists?
I don’t give a damn about the feelings of Islamic terrorists!
And the truth be told, there are a lot of people who’s feelings I don’t care about, and that I will speak out against, regardless of national origin or religious affiliation, so if that makes me guilty of a hate crime in the eyes of Obama or the United Nations, so be it.
