Democrats REALLY Don’t Care For Citizen Involvement

By it’s basic definition, a public hearing is a forum where average citizens attend a session where lawmakers are about to decide on policies, upcoming legislation, etc.

The idea being that elected representatives can receive input from the general public.

At least that is the way it is supposed to work.

Unless, of course, the person running the session is a Democrat who does not care for the fact that the public is voicing their opposition a tax-increase proposal.

When something of this nature recently occurred in Iowa, Iowa House Speaker Pat Murphy ordered the citizens removed from the House chambers by the Iowa State Police!

So much for public input.
