Obama Vs. FDR: The First Hundred Days

Mr Obama’s top adviser David Axelrod has publicly dismissed the 100th day milestone as a “Hallmark holiday” – meaning an invented event of no real significance.

But behind the scenes presidential aides have discreetly encouraged comparisons between Mr Obama and his illustrious Democratic predecessor, Franklin D.Roosevelt.

Roosevelt, who took over on 12 March, 1933, soon made history with a blizzard of bold actions taken during what became knows as his “first 100 days” in office – in fact the first 103 of his administration.

Ever since, pundits have used it as a litmus test to grade presidents. It’s a crude measure because the president’s only power is his prestige and the bully pulpit of the White House, and some of America’s greatest presidents got off to a dismal start.

MSNBC Pulls Poll Giving Obama an “F”

If you subscribe to The Freedom Medium or follow us on Twitter or Facebook, then you may have seen my post on April 21st with a screenshot of the poll MSNBC.com has been running. The poll asked visitors to grade President Obama’s performance since he has been in office.

At the time of the post 2,443,455 people had voted, 43% giving him an “F” and only 31% giving him an “A”.

I checked this poll yesterday and saw that the numbers were getting closer with 38% giving him an “F” and 37% an “A” after well over 3 million votes.

Well thankfully we posted the screenshot when we did because the poll has been pulled from the site. In addition, I found another MSNBC.com poll showing an even worse “F” rating for Obama back in March was also pulled. You can find the report on World Net Daily, but when you click-through, you will see the page has been yanked.

This poll was obviously commissioned as part of the lead up to Obama’s first 100 days in office, and had the numbers been more in Obama’s favor, we would have heard about the poll’s results every five minutes on all NBC’s news outlets.

But look at what happens when the results are not in favor of their agenda. Not only will we not hear about the results of the poll when Obama fails; we won’t even get to see the poll on their site.

Given this style of reporting from NBC, it is no surprise that GE stockholders are showing up at meetings to protest NBC’s media bias. MSNBC is literally being dominated by FOX now because the only people who watch the former are left-wing wack jobs who think that Keith Olberman and Chris Matthews are objective journalists.

All that aside, there are still plenty of apologists for mainstream news outlets that report opinions as fact. I am sure you all know some far lefties, as I do, who claim that the mainstream media actually favors conservatives. I hope that you will bookmark this report as an example of how NBC is continuing to grow into a propaganda arm of the far left as part of your arsenal against such foolishness.

This Should Be Part Of President Obama’s Education Reforms

Are you paying attention to what your children are being taught in the classroom?

If you answered “Yes” to that question, either you are lying to yourself, or you don’t realy care what your kids are taught as long as they bring home good grades on their report cards.

Have you ever heard of the phrase “revisionist history?
Do you have any idea what it means?

Revisionist history is an incredibly distorted view of American history, teaching our children that every woe in the world can be laid at the doorstep of the United States.

Maybe the first step in President Obama’s planned education reforms should be to require that America’s schools teach children the truth, not the liberal version of it.

President Obama’s Civilian Defense Force: Church Attendance Is Forbidden

Is this the change you really voted for? President Obama has only been in office for two months. Now we have HR 1388. The Bill was sponsored by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) with 37 others. The Bill was introduced to the floor of the House of Representatives where both Republicans and Democrats voted 321-105 in favor. Next it goes to the Senate for a vote and then on to President Obama.

This bill’s title is called “Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education” (GIVE). It forms what some are calling “Obama’s Youth Brigade.” Obama’s plan is require anyone receiving school loans and others to serve at least three months as part of the brigade. His goal is one million youth! This has serious Nazi Germany overtones to it.

The Bill would forbid any student in the brigade to participate in “engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction… Read the rest of this entry

The Terrifying Words Of Michelle Obama

I’m an old fashioned kind of guy.

If I tell you something, you can bet that what I say is what I truly believe.

And I expect the same thing fro others, I have no tolerance for liars.

All of this is my way of saying that I believe that words have meaning.

Barack will demand that I shed my cynicism?
How in the hell does he figure on doing that?

Barack will not allow me to go back to my life as usual?
As long as I obey the law, pay my taxes (seeing as I don’t hold a cabinet post) and otherwise act as a respectable American citizen, I don’t see where in the hell I have to ask ANY politican for permission to live my life as I damn well please!!

The Inner Workings Of The Obama Health Care Plan

Barack Obama is promising access to health care for all Americans.

In theory, it sounds like a great idea.

But how well will it work in the real world?

Will the people who now have their own health insurance coverage continue to receive the same levels of care and treatment?

Or will things have to reach a “lowest common denominator” style of treatment in order to provide coverage for everyone?

Sadly, my guess is that it is going to be the second one.

America is going to go from HMO coverage to “Hey Moe” coverage.

That style of treatment is when someone pokes you in the eyes so you forget about the reason you went to the doctor’s office in the first place.

Glenn Beck And Ted Nugent At The Alamo

To tell the truth, the only part that Glenn Beck has in this video is to introduce Ted Nugent.

I am really not that familiar with the man’s music.

I did have some idea of his political views from seeing him as a guest on various Fox News programs.

I may just have to go out and buy one of his CD’s after listening to this speech.

Man makes an awful lot of sense for a guitar player.
